Augury Grid v1.0 Quick Reference

One-page cheat sheet for multi-symbol MACD screening

🎯 What It Does

Feature Description Value
Monitor Up to 40 symbols simultaneously Real-time grid display
Signal Type MACD histogram crossovers Bullish ↑ / Bearish ↓
Confluence 5 filters score each signal X/5 rating (5 = strongest)
Display Grid table on chart Symbol, Signal, Score, TP1, P&L

📊 The 5 Confluence Factors

Factor What It Checks Adds +1 Point If...
1. ADX Trend strength ADX > 25 (strong trend present)
2. Higher TF Alignment with higher timeframe Higher timeframe MACD agrees
3. OBV Volume confirmation OBV supports signal direction
4. RSI Momentum confirmation RSI confirms direction
5. MA Distance Distance from moving average Price not overextended

Confluence Score: 0/5 = weak, 1-2/5 = moderate, 3-4/5 = strong, 5/5 = maximum confidence

⚡ Quick Interpretation Guide

Grid Columns Explained

  • Symbol: Ticker being monitored (e.g., BTC, SPY, AAPL)
  • Signal: ↑ (bullish MACD cross) or ↓ (bearish MACD cross)
  • Score: X/5 confluence rating (higher = more confirmations)
  • TP1: Take profit target (price level calculated from signal)
  • P&L%: Current profit/loss percentage since signal appeared
  • Gauss: Gauss Ribbon status (trend confirmation)

How to Use the Grid

  • Step 1: Scan for 4-5/5 confluence scores (highest quality)
  • Step 2: Check signal direction (↑ bullish or ↓ bearish)
  • Step 3: Switch to that symbol's chart for detailed analysis
  • Step 4: Use Pentarch/Janus/Volume Oracle to confirm entry
  • Step 5: Grid = filter, full chart analysis = decision

Confluence Score Priorities

  • 5/5: All factors aligned - highest priority review
  • 4/5: Strong signal - worth detailed analysis
  • 3/5: Moderate signal - review if watching that symbol
  • 1-2/5: Weak signal - usually skip unless perfect setup on chart
  • 0/5: No confluence - ignore

🤝 Best Combinations

With Pentarch

  • Grid shows 5/5 bull signal: Check Pentarch for TD or IGN confirmation
  • Grid shows 4-5 bear signals across sector: Look for Pentarch CAP/BDN (sector exhaustion)
  • Multiple 4/5 signals same direction: Pentarch validates broad market momentum

Example: Grid shows ETH 5/5 ↑ + BTC 5/5 ↑ + Pentarch TD on both = maximum confluence reversal

With Janus Atlas

  • Grid signal at Janus level: Grid filters watchlist, Janus shows exact entry price
  • 5/5 signal + Daily Low: MACD + level confluence
  • Multiple symbols hitting same Janus level cluster: Sector-wide support/resistance test

With Volume Oracle

  • Grid 5/5 + VBS spike: MACD confluence + volume confirmation
  • Grid signal + Volume Zone: Screener identifies symbol, Volume shows accumulation area
  • Grid P&L tracking + Volume Flow: Monitor position with volume backing

Workflow: Grid as First Filter

  • 1. Grid: Scan 30-40 symbols for 4-5/5 signals
  • 2. Chart: Switch to high-score symbol's chart
  • 3. Pentarch: Check cycle phase (TD, IGN, WRN, CAP, BDN)
  • 4. Janus: Find exact entry level (Daily/Weekly High/Low)
  • 5. Volume: Confirm with volume spike or zone
  • 6. Decision: All align = enter, Any conflict = skip

⚙️ Recommended Settings

Watchlist Configuration (Symbol Selection) ⭐

  • Start with 10-15 symbols: Don't overwhelm - quality over quantity
  • Same sector/asset class: Crypto only, stocks only, or forex only (easier patterns)
  • High liquidity assets: BTC, ETH, SPY, QQQ, AAPL, etc. (reliable signals)
  • Best for: Learning grid workflow, clear signals

Day Trader Watchlist

  • Symbols: 15-25 high-volume stocks/crypto (active movers)
  • Timeframe: 5m-15m charts
  • Focus: Intraday MACD crossovers with quick TP1 targets
  • Best for: Fast-moving markets, multiple opportunities per day

Swing Trader Watchlist

  • Symbols: 30-40 symbols across watchlist (broader coverage)
  • Timeframe: 1H-Daily charts
  • Focus: High-confluence 4-5/5 signals for multi-day holds
  • Best for: Position entries, less frequent but higher quality

Sector Scanner Configuration

  • Symbols: All top 20-30 stocks in one sector (Tech, Finance, Energy)
  • Goal: Identify broad sector momentum (5+ symbols same direction)
  • Use case: Sector rotation analysis, market leadership identification
  • Best for: Macro analysis, finding strongest sectors

⚠️ When NOT to Use

❌ As sole decision-making tool (it's a screener, not a strategy)
❌ Acting on 1-2/5 confluence signals without confirmation
❌ Monitoring 40 random unrelated symbols (create focused watchlists)
❌ Without follow-up chart analysis (grid filters, chart confirms)

🔧 Troubleshooting

"No signals appearing in grid"
→ MACD signals are rarer than expected - normal
→ Check symbol list is correct (ticker spelling matters)
→ Try lower timeframe (more frequent crossovers on 5m vs Daily)

"Too many symbols showing 0/5 or 1/5"
→ Market conditions not ideal for MACD strategy
→ Normal - grid filters out weak signals
→ Focus only on 3-5/5 scores (quality over quantity)

"Grid table too small / hard to read"
→ Adjust grid size in indicator settings
→ Reduce number of symbols (fewer rows = easier reading)
→ Use larger monitor or zoom chart view

"Symbol signals but chart analysis disagrees"
→ Correct behavior - grid is first filter, not final decision
→ Trust full chart analysis over grid signal
→ Grid shows potential, chart shows reality

📊 Timeframe Suitability

Timeframe Suitability Signal Frequency
1m-5m ✅ Good Very frequent MACD crosses, many low-confluence signals
15m ⭐ Excellent Frequent signals, good 4-5/5 confluence rate
1H ⭐ Excellent Moderate frequency, high-quality 4-5/5 signals
4H ⭐ Best Lower frequency, highest quality confluence scores
Daily ✅ Good Rare signals, but very high reliability when they appear
Weekly ⚠️ Slow Extremely rare, best for position trading only

Note: All monitored symbols use the same timeframe as the chart. Switch chart timeframe to change all grid signals.

🎯 Grid Success Tips

  1. Grid = filter, not strategy — Always confirm with full chart analysis
  2. Focus on 4-5/5 scores only — Ignore weak 0-2/5 signals
  3. Start with 10-15 symbols — Master workflow before expanding to 40
  4. Same sector watchlists work best — Easier to spot sector-wide momentum
  5. Combine with Pentarch/Janus/Volume — Grid screens, other indicators confirm

📖 Key Concepts

MACD Histogram Crossover: When MACD histogram crosses zero line (bullish ↑ or bearish ↓)
Confluence Score (X/5): 5 factors vote on signal strength (ADX, Higher TF, OBV, RSI, MA Distance)
Multi-Symbol Monitoring: Scan up to 40 tickers simultaneously in real-time grid table
TP1: Take Profit target calculated from signal, P&L% tracks performance since signal appeared
