Harmonic Oscillator v1.0 Quick Reference
One-page cheat sheet for momentum consensus signals
🎯 The 4 Signal Types
| Signal | Color | Vote Count | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🟢 BULL | Green | 3+ votes | Bullish momentum detected |
| 🔴 BEAR | Red | 3+ votes | Bearish momentum detected |
| ⚪ NEUT | Gray | 0-2 votes | Neutral - no clear momentum |
| ⭐ STRONG | Bright Green/Red | 4-5 votes | High-confidence momentum signal |
📊 The 5 Voters
| Voter | What It Analyzes | Signal Type |
|---|---|---|
| 1. MACD | Trend direction & crossovers | Trend-following |
| 2. RSI | Triple envelope zones (7/14/28) | Overbought/oversold |
| 3. Stochastic RSI | K/D crossovers in extreme zones | Momentum extremes |
| 4. Volume | Volume delta patterns | Volume confirmation |
| 5. Divergence | Price vs oscillator disagreement | Reversal detection |
⚡ Quick Interpretation Guide
Signal Strength
- BULL: Moderate bullish momentum - meets Signal Mode threshold
- BEAR: Moderate bearish momentum - meets Signal Mode threshold
- STRONG BULL (6-7 votes): High-confidence bullish momentum - strong agreement
- STRONG BEAR (6-7 votes): High-confidence bearish momentum - strong agreement
- NEUT: Below threshold - momentum unclear, wait for clarity
Voting Patterns
- All 7 voters agree: Rare, highest conviction signal
- 6 voters agree: STRONG signal, very reliable
- 5 voters agree: Standard signal (Balanced mode threshold)
- 4 voters agree: Aggressive mode threshold
- Below threshold: NEUT - conflicting indicators, avoid trading
🤝 Best Combinations
With Pentarch
- Pentarch TD + STRONG BULL = Early-cycle entry with momentum confirmation
- Pentarch IGN + BULL = Markup phase with momentum alignment
- Pentarch CAP + STRONG BEAR = Climax exhaustion with momentum reversal
Example: Pentarch TD + Harmonic STRONG BULL (7/7 votes) = Highest probability entry
With Janus Atlas
- STRONG BULL at Daily/Weekly Low = Momentum + level support
- STRONG BEAR at Daily/Weekly High = Momentum + level resistance
- BULL signal bouncing from Janus level = Confirmed support test
With Volume Oracle
- STRONG BULL + Accumulation regime = Momentum + buying pressure
- STRONG BEAR + Distribution regime = Downward momentum + selling pressure
- NEUT + Neutral regime = Wait for regime and momentum clarity
⚙️ Recommended Settings
Aggressive Mode (More Signals)
- Vote Threshold: 1-2 votes
- Signals appear more frequently
- Lower confidence, more false signals
- Best for: Fast markets, scalping
Balanced Mode (Default)
- Vote Threshold: 3 votes
- Moderate signal frequency
- Good balance of signals vs accuracy
- Best for: Day trading, most timeframes
Conservative Mode (Fewer, Better Signals)
- Vote Threshold: 6-7 votes (STRONG only)
- Rare signals, highest confidence
- Filter out everything except STRONG signals
- Best for: Swing trading, position trading
⚠️ When NOT to Use
❌ Tight consolidation (oscillators give conflicting signals)
❌ Extreme news events (momentum shifts too quickly)
❌ Very low timeframes (<1m) - too much noise
❌ Low liquidity assets - erratic oscillator readings
🔧 Troubleshooting
"Always showing NEUT"
→ Normal during consolidation/choppy markets
→ Oscillators disagreeing = no clear momentum
→ Wait for stronger trend to develop
"Too many signals"
→ Switch to Conservative mode (STRONG only)
→ Increase vote threshold in settings
→ Use higher timeframe for fewer signals
"Signals not matching price action"
→ Momentum is lagging indicator (normal delay)
→ BULL can appear during pullbacks (overall trend still up)
→ Combine with Pentarch/Janus for context
📊 Timeframe Suitability
| Timeframe | Suitability | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1m-5m | ⚠️ Noisy | Use Aggressive mode, expect more whipsaws |
| 15m | ✅ Good | Day trading, Balanced mode works well |
| 1H | ⭐ Best | Day/swing trading, clearest momentum signals |
| 4H | ⭐ Best | Swing trading, STRONG signals very reliable |
| Daily | ✅ Excellent | Position trading, highest-quality signals |
| Weekly | ✅ Good | Long-term, rare but high-conviction signals |
🎯 Momentum Success Tips
- STRONG signals = Priority — 6-7 vote consensus most reliable
- NEUT = Wait — No consensus means no clear momentum
- Combine with cycle/levels — Momentum alone is not enough
- Watch for momentum shifts — BULL to NEUT to BEAR = trend change
- Vote count matters — 7/7 > 6/7 > 5/7 in reliability
📖 Key Concepts
Voting System: 7 independent oscillators vote on momentum direction
Consensus Threshold: 4+ votes = signal, 6-7 = STRONG
BULL/BEAR: Direction of momentum detected by voter consensus
NEUT: Insufficient agreement between voters (wait for clarity)
